Questions from the Webinar
What is the timeline for the new update to come out?
We hope to release the next generation of the Trustworthy Inbox this week. It’s going through extensive testing and fine-tuning. If we need to hold, we’ll release it on Monday, June 22, so that our team will be here to address any questions that may come up as we announce the Inbox. Look for an email soon, or sign in and take a look around.
Is there a way to filter which PDFs to pull from Gmail, for example, from a particular sender? It sounds like the tool will pull all PDFs, right?
Yes, the Gmail sync feature will pull in all PDFs for the time period you select unless you choose to exclude certain senders or approve only specific senders. You can review how to modify the Gmail connection settings in this article.
This is only the starting point for our Gmail feature. We plan to add in additional options to help you curate content from Gmail.
Why can you only connect Gmail?
We decided to offer Gmail first for a couple of reasons. First, it is by far and away the most popular among Trustworthy members. Second, we are exploring and learning about all the ways members use this sync option in real life and will then apply these learnings to other connections, including emails, drives, and more.
How do I add a category? When I select a document to move, it pops up the current categories but I have no option to add one and move the doc to the new category.
At this time, Trustworthy does not support creating entirely custom top-level categories.
That said, there is still a great deal of flexibility in how you organize your information within your account.
You can:
Create additional pages within existing categories based on the options available in each category's + menu
Use files and folders on pages to organize information more granularly
Add notes, reminders, and connections that help personalize how information is grouped and understood
We are also actively working on a new tagging feature that will allow you to organize information according to your own personal themes and workflows. Tags will make it possible to group related information across categories in virtually unlimited combinations.
This is a popular question. Here are other commonly asked questions that may help you.
Can you file a document in more than one place?
Yes, you can. We admit, it’s a bit of a hidden feature.
To file a document in more than one location:
Go to the location where you would like to add the existing file. So for example, let’s say in Finance, you have an account statement for your primary savings and checking account. And now you are refinancing your home and collecting files in a folder on your home (in Property: Real Estate), for the refinance. Go to your refinance folder.
Choose + Add
Select Existing File
The pop up will ask you if you’d like to move the file or keep it in both locations. Choose both locations.
I’m waiting desperately for the Health category. When is that coming?
We have this category in testing now. We anticipate releasing it in a “beta” status in the next few weeks to collect additional feedback from our members.
This article provides tips on how you might want to manage health information in the interim.
Can you show us how to create a folder to move files into? Since joining Trustworthy and connecting two of my business gmail accounts, I have quite a bit of documents that I would like to clean up.
You bet! This article walks you through creating a folder.
You can also create a folder on the fly as you are moving a file. You’ll see an option to create a new folder after you select the category and decide which page to add the file to.
How do I change a document name that has been incorrectly identified? For example, my birth certificate is mistitled as a passport.
Anywhere you click and view a file, you’ll find an option to also change the title of that file. Here’s an article that shows an example. Changing the title will not affect the document itself—it simply updates how the file appears in your account. You can also choose to Move that file if needed.
