How Trustworthy automatically extracts and organizes the key details
How your information instantly connects across your account
How automatic reminders keep you ahead of important dates
How Chat lets you ask questions and get answers from your own information

New members looking for a clear starting point
Anyone who wants to see how it works before diving in
Members who've added a few things and want to get more out of their information
Questions and Answers From the Webinar
Under the business section, I see where you can enter the type of business, e.g., LLC or partnership. What I don't see is a place to name the owner of the LLC
When you upload a business formation document, Trustworthy automatically identifies and populates the owner for you, along with key ownership details like interest type, ownership units, units held, and date acquired.
We’re also adding a dedicated owner field soon, making it even easier to select or add the correct owner manually.
Where would Trustworthy put a couple of stamp collections? Do I need to create a category?
The best place to organize collections, like stamps, in Trustworthy is under the Property category. From there, you can create an Other Personal Property item and add the relevant details.
We also recommend adding supporting files like appraisals, certificates of authenticity, receipts, and photos. Keeping everything together can make future appraisals, insurance claims, or eventual sales much easier to manage.
How can I add the name of an institution that's not in the list of Trustworthy partners?
If the institution you need is missing, simply email Support@Trustworthy.com and we can add it for you.
You can also add the institution yourself by creating it in Contacts first. Once added there, it will appear as an option in the corresponding dropdown menus throughout your Trustworthy account.
If there's time, can you walk us though how to provide access to an individual family member (e.g, Successor Trustee)
For details on adding a collaborator to your Trustworthy, please see this article in our Help Center.
Will duplicate documents be automatically removed during Gmail sync
Yes, Trustworthy automatically looks for exact duplicate files and works to prevent them from appearing in your account.
In the case that a duplicate makes it through, you can simply delete the extra document.
My Gmail sync is pulling in all sorts of files that I don't want in Trustworthy. Is there an easy way to pick the addresses that you want automatically imported?
Currently, you can manage Gmail sender preferences in Trustworthy by going to Settings → Connections in your account profile. From there, you can create approved sender lists or a blocked sender lists for Gmail imports.
We’re also developing additional controls to help you better curate which files and emails come into Trustworthy from Gmail. Look for updates in the coming weeks through email announcements and on the Trustworthy product update.
And related, is there a way to delete multiple unsorted files from Gmail at once?
This feature is coming soon!
What if email brings in a large number of documents you don't want, for example, you find 1000 files you don't want, is there an easy way to delete them all vs spending all day deleting one at a time?
If a large number of unwanted documents were imported from Gmail, please contact Support@Trustworthy.com. We can perform a one-time cleanup to remove Gmail-sourced documents along with the related items and resources they created in your account.
How do I generate one Excel document for my entire Trustworthy document so my kids can just take a look at a single summarized document?
The easiest way to generate a summary of your Trustworthy information for family members is through Chat. Simply ask Chat to create a summary of your household information, important documents, accounts, or other resources.
We’re also expanding Chat functionality to support sharing chat results as well as offering downloadable versions of these summaries in the future.
How do you add a new category to the left navigation bar?
At this time, Trustworthy does not support custom categories.
However, we’re actively developing expanded tagging features that will give you more flexibility to organize information around your own themes, workflows, and relationships across categories. Stay tuned for upcoming updates.
Where do banking accounts go?
Bank accounts can be added in the Finance category. We strongly recommend starting by uploading a bank statement–just drop it on your dashboard or click + Add in the left navigation–and let Trustworthy automatically organize the information and create relevant connections for you.
You can also add accounts manually by going to Finance, clicking the + menu, and selecting the type of financial account you’d like to create. The lightbulb icon also offers helpful suggestions for what you can add within each category.
Once your bank account is set up, consider storing the related sign-in details in Passwords. You can then connect that login directly to the banking account using Connections, helping keep everything linked together in one place.
How can I differentiate between Trusts, specifically a Revocable Trust - from the current choice?
You can distinguish between different kinds of trusts by entering the appropriate classification in the “Trust Type” field. You can also use the title of the Trust page to help distinguish among trusts.
I am a Canadian user. Will there be future accommodation for Canadian terminology? For example: RRSP instead of 401k, TFSA instead of Roth IRA, SIN instead of SSN, T1 instead of W-2 tax forms.
Localization is part of our broader plans for Trustworthy. We have many in Canada using our system now, but a more localized approach will help the experience.
We’re considering localizing the names of the items you mentioned as well as improving our document analysis and understanding of provincial health cards, status cards, child benefit statements, CPP statements, RESP accounts and more. This also includes expanding our list of insurers and financial institutions that are uniquely Canadian.
What is the difference between Chat and Search?
Search helps you quickly find specific resources already stored in your Trustworthy account.
Chat goes a step further by helping you ask questions, summarize information, connect details across your household, and get guidance based on the information you’ve stored.
Can we create a custom collaborator type, like “Babysitter,” etc so we can share a custom set of partial access permissions to multiple people?
This is a great idea! We’ll share it with our product team.
Where is the best place to keep…
Contracts, agreements, and subscriptions
The best place to store these depends on what they relate to. For example, a home renovation contract is usually best added to the related Property: Real Estate item. A streaming subscription like Netflix may make more sense as part of a Password or Contact entry, with the related files added there.
Some members also create folders inside financial accounts to organize recurring bills, contracts, or receipts tied to a specific bank or credit card account. Others prefer using Family Resources to create custom pages with broader household information, like subscriptions, service providers, or home-related instructions.
The most important thing is choosing an approach that feels intuitive to you and keeps the information secure, organized, and easy to share with family or trusted contacts here in Trustworthy when needed.
Loyalty and points cards
We recommend adding these to the Family page of the person who holds the card. From there, you can use the Other IDs option to store loyalty memberships and related details.
Extended warranties
Extended warranties are typically best stored with the related property item, whether that’s a vehicle, home appliance, jewelry item, or other valuable asset. Adding the warranty documents directly to the associated item keeps everything connected and easier to find later.
Can the system create pages based on a spreadsheet or image or only PDFs, e.g., an existing summary of assets worksheet?
Trustworthy does not currently support spreadsheet-based processing or organization.
That said, it’s a great area for exploration, especially for use cases like financial asset tracking, household inventories, collections, address books, and other structured information that many families already manage in spreadsheets today.
I have a lot of clients that have annuities. It would be nice not to have to add them to insurance or financial categories. However, it can work , but there isn’t any section with a drop down choice for an annuity and has to be filed as insurance.
At present, you are correct, annuities are generally best added within either the Insurance or Finance categories, depending on how you think about and manage the asset.
We understand annuities are a distinct type of financial product, and adding a dedicated annuity option is helpful feedback we’ve heard from advisors and members alike. In the meantime, we recommend including clear naming, related documents, beneficiary details, and connections so the annuity remains easy to identify and manage within the broader category structure.
